Computer Engineering, Electronic Systems Track, B.S.

The Electronic Systems track focuses on large electronic systems and networks. Students who specialize in this track will emerge with experience in VLSI (very large scale integrated) design and the design of programmable locgic devices, including FPGAs (fully programmable gate arrays). In addition to the regular requirements of the Computer Engineering, B.S. , students in the Electronic Systems track must complete:

CMPE 315 - Principles of VLSI Design (4.00)
CMPE 415 - Programmable Logic Devices (3.00)

Note

In addition, three technical electives are required. At least two of the three electives must be from the CMPE electives (List A), and the remaining elective can be either from the CMPE electives (List A) or approved CMSC courses (List B) on the Computer Engineering, B.S. page.
