Intermedia and Digital Arts, M.F.A.


Degree Requirements


The M.F.A. program consists of a minimum of 60 credit hours, of which 12 credits are reserved for a written thesis and thesis exhibition.

Six credits may be upper-level undergraduate courses that have been approved for graduate studies by the advisor.

A written thesis, a thesis exhibition and oral defense, in addition to a grade of “B” or better in all course work are required for completion of the M.F.A. degree.

During the third semester, the student’s research will be reviewed for advancement to candidacy. Students advance to candidacy in order to work closely with his or her chosen thesis advisor and thesis committee in preparation of the thesis and exhibition. Upon approval by the committee, an exhibition, thesis and oral defense will be presented and a professional publication of the students culminating work will be published.
