Offered by Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication , the Latin American Studies Minor is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with the opportunity to learn about Latin America from the perspective and methods of different fields, including art, history, literature, cultural studies, geography, and political science. Students have opportunities to engage with Latin Americanists affiliated with different departments at UMBC, which is valuable for students interested in applying to graduate programs in Latin American studies.

- Minimum 18 credits
- Minimum grade of ‘C’ in courses applied to the minor
