Offered by Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.

Regardless of a student’s career choice, developing an entrepreneurial mindset and skill set makes them valuable contributors on the job and in their communities. Many students go on to start their own businesses in the future, and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor shows them how to assess the feasibility of their ideas and teaches them the first steps for getting started. Involvement in the program provides access to successful entrepreneurs in the region, which provides valuable networking and mentoring opportunities. Other students become intrapreneurs - employees working in existing companies who learn how to look for opportunities for improvement and how to successfully implement change and innovation within their organizations. Many students are very interested in social entrepreneurship and civic agency. There are opportunities within the minor for these students to learn how to become successful agents and advocates of change in their communities and society at large.
