• SOCY 618 - SAS for Social Scientists
• SOCY 619 - Qualitative Methods in Social Research

Analytical Paper Option (21 credits)

• 18 credits of elective courses
• 3 credits of SOCY 711 - Analytical Paper Research 

Including preparation of a research paper approved by a first and second reader

Master’s Thesis Option (21 credits)

• 15 credits of elective courses
• 6 credits of SOCY 799 - Master’s Thesis Research  

Including preparation and defense of a master’s thesis under a committee of three faculty members.
