Minor Requirements

  • Minimum 36 credits
  • Minimum grade of ‘C’ in all courses and course prerequisites for the minor. Courses taken on a P/F basis will not count towards the minor
  • A simple majority of the courses for the minor completed in residence at UMBC
  • The elective course cannot be used to meet major requirements

Course Requirements

Biology (11 credits)

Complete the following:

Bioinformatics Capstone Course (4 credits)

Complete one of the following courses. The capstone course may not fulfill the elective requirement.

Statistics (4 credits)

Complete one of the following:

Computer Science (14 credits)

Complete the following:

Elective (3-4 credits)

Complete one course from the following BIOL, CHEM, CMSC, or STAT electives. The elective course may not fulfill the capstone requirement.

Approved BIOL electives

 

For non-BIOL/BIOC majors also:
