The Literature & Culture Minor is appropriate for students of any major who are interested in learning to read, interpret, and write about imaginative works across genres and media forms. Students study literature and other cultural expressions from antiquity to the present. They learn to interpret these works within historical, generic, theoretical, and material contexts by honing skills in scholarly research and exploring resources such as digital archives. Equipped with proficiency in critical reading and thinking, interpretive writing and oral expression, Literature & Culture minors are prepared to enter a range of careers including professional and creative writing and editing, education, library science, and law.
