Theatre Design and Production Minor

Offered by Theatre . The Theatre Design and Production Minor encourages students whose interests include fine arts and technical production to apply their skills to the creation of live performance. Areas of study include scenic, costume, lighting and/or sound design, and production skills in woodworking, sewing, and/or welding.

Minor Requirements

Minimum 21 credits
Minimum grade of ‘C’ in courses applied to the minor
Minimum 12 credits completed in residence at UMBC

Course Requirements

Core Courses (12 credits)

Complete the following 12 credits:

Design and Production Electives (6 credits)

Complete a minimum of 6 credits of the following. Courses may be taken more than once if repeatable.

Elective (3 credits)

Complete a minimum of 3 credits of any THTR 300- or 400-level course. Courses taken under Design and Production Electives may not count for the Elective unless retaken for repeatable credit.
