German Language and Culture Minor

Offered by Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication , this minor allows students to deepen their understanding of, and ability to function in, German language and cultural settings.

Minor Requirements

  • Minimum 22 credits
  • Minimum grade of ‘C’ in courses applied to the minor

Course Requirements

Modern Languages Core (3 credits)

Complete 3 credits from the following:

Advanced German (10 credits)

Complete the following in residence at UMBC:

German Electives (9 credits)

Complete 9 credits in upper-level GERM courses.
