Offered by Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health , the Public Health Minor offers students in other fields an opportunity to apply their technical knowledge to solve health-related challenges.

Minor Requirements

  • Minimum 18 credits excluding PBHL 470  
  • Minimum grade of ‘C’ in courses applied to the minor
  • Minimum 9 credits completed at UMBC and minimum 9 credits at the 300 or 400 level
  • Maximum of 6 credits can be shared with another major, minor, or certificate
  • Not open to students pursuing the Public Health, B.A.

Complete 3 credits from the following:

Electives (6 credits)

Complete 2 electives from the following, Domain courses not used in the Domain requirement, or other approved courses, including a minimum of one course from PBHL.
