Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Minor

Minor Requirements
- Minimum 36 credits
- Minimum grade of ‘C’ in all courses and course prerequisites for the minor. Courses taken on a P/F basis will not count towards the minor
- A simple majority of the courses for the minor completed in residence at UMBC
- The elective course cannot be used to meet major requirements
Biology (8 credits)
Complete the following: Statistics (4 credits)
Complete one of the following: Computer Science (14 credits)
Complete the following: Bioinformatics Core (8 credits)
Complete the following. Elective (3-4 credits)
Complete one course from List A (BIOL and CHEM electives) or from List B (CMSC, IS, MATH, and STAT electives). List A: BIOL and CHEM electives
BIOL and CHEM 400-level lecture courses of 3 or 4 credits approved by a BINF advisor. List B: CMSC, IS, MATH, and STAT electives
