Environmental Science Minor

To earn a minor in Environmental Science in conjunction with a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in another discipline, students must complete a minimum of 19 credits with a “C” or better. No course taken on a P/F basis shall count toward the minors. Internships and independent studies courses are also not counted toward the minor. The requirements for the minor are:

Core Courses:

GES 120-Environmental Science and Conservation (3.00)
GES 220-Lab and Field Techniques for Environmental Science (4.00)
(4) Electives at the 300 level or higher (one of which must be at the 400 level) from the approved list of courses with an environmental focus (see www.umbc.edu/ges/GES_envi_sci_minor)
