ART 370 - Silkscreen Printing (3) This studio course introduces a variety of approaches to screenprinting, including stencil techniques, direct markmaking and photographic processes utilizing film positives, digitally generated images, photocopies and drawings. Historical uses of screenprinting as a medium for communication and ornamentation are discussed in the context of contemporary art practice. This course continues the fusing of artistic skills in various media, such as color, pattern, layering, print output and composition, developed during the intermediate level.
