POLI 310 - Political Theories of Democracy (3) Examines the works of various political theorists, past and present, Western and non-Western, male and female, on thee nature, justification, and practice of democracy. Themes explored include liberty, equality, rights, participation, citizenship, institution, knowledge, and deliberation. Emphasis is placed on applying political theories to current political debates. Recommended Preparation: POLI 210 or another POLI course in political theory.
