POLI 425 - U.S. Campaigns and Elections (3) This course investigates American elections and the political campaigns waged to win federal and state offices. Topics include the structural and systemic dynamics of suffrage, voting rules and electoral results; the strategic and tactical conduct of campaigns by candidates, consultants, parties and other groups; and the patterns of electoral behavior, including turnout rates and partisan, demographic and geographic voting trends.
