ENCH 486 - A Survey of Sensors and Instrumentation (3)


This course will provide a broad overview of sensors and instrumentation used in a number of applications. Starting with basic definitions, the course will move on to various principles (physical, chemical and biological) used to sense a variety of parameters. A simple sensor will be constructed during the course to provide hands-on experience in sensor design. This elective is suitable for science and engineering majors.
