Description: This course focuses on physico-chemical processes that control the fate of contaminants in engineered and natural systems is discussed. Physico-chemical phenomenon is first introduced from a phenomenal standpoint, then its role in both engineered and natural systems discussed. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the basic physico-chemical phenomena that control the fate of pollutants in the environment.
