GES 416 - Hydrology(4.00) Study of the occurrence and movement of water on and beneath the land surface. All phases of the hydrologic cycle are discussed, with particular emphasis on factors that control runoff, flood frequency, measurement and prediction of streamflow, and applications of hydrologic data in environmental planning. Principles of groundwater flow and the influence of geology on both groundwater and surface water also are included. Experience in the use of microcomputers for problem-solving is recommended.
