AFST 361 - Studies in Black Drama (3) The portrayal of the black experience in plays by primarily black dramatists. Examination of problems encountered in reading or producing plays of black writers. Experiments and new directions in black drama and theatre. Selections will treat a specific historical period, theme or group of dramatists from one or more areas of concentration: Africa, the United States, Caribbean and Latin America. Topics will be published in the Schedule of Classes. This course is repeatable for credit with different topic. Students may complete a maximum of 6 credits.
