PHIL 458 - Advanced Topics in Feminist Philosophy (3) A detailed examination of some single field of feminist philosophy. Topics will vary from year to year but are likely to include the following: feminist ethics, feminist epistemology and feminist aesthetics. In each case, the class will focus on the theoretical and practical impact of feminist thinking on these traditional areas of philosophy. We will critically discuss the relevance of women’s lived experience for philosophical theorizing. Recommended Preparation: Two of the following PHIL 258 , PHIL 350 , PHIL 368 , PHIL 371 , PHIL 373 , PHIL 372 , GWST 480 or permission of the instructor.
