SOCY 205 - Civic Agency and Social Entrepreneurship (3) By building their theoretical knowledge and practical skills, this course empowers and prepares students to work effectively in their communities, social groups and democracy to initiate and achieve social change. Students will analyze and evaluate prevailing ideas about effective citizenship, activism, service and politics, including conventional assumptions about the limits of ordinary citizens’ capacity to become agents of transformation. Students will work in teams to develop strategic plans for social change on campus and beyond.
