SPAN 312 - Producciones culturales en las Américas (3) This course offers a panoramic view of the cultural productions (literature, film, popular culture, and new media) of the Americas. Readings, viewings, and theoretical discussions of Latin American culture are organized with a special focus on one or more issues (colonialism, imperialism, national identity, indigenism, subjectivity, and others). Additionally, through a study of historical links between Latin America and the United States, students will relate cultural products to social and political issues of the past and present in the Americas.
