CHEM 640 - Special Topics in Molecular Structure

Description: Discussions of the major physical methods for determining of molecular structure will be presented. Emphasis will be placed on the application of theoretical principles to experimental problems and to computational methods required for interpretation of data. Topics discussed may include X-ray, electron and neutron scattering, molecular spectroscopy (infrared, ultraviolet and microwave), nuclear magnetic and electron spin resonance, dipole moment determination and dielectric relaxation.
