ENCH 472 - Environmental Fate and Transport(3.00) This course covers basic principles of chemical fate and transport in the environment. Course materials include the fundamental concepts and practical, quantitative problem-solving techniques dealing with environmental contaminations. Mass balance; chemical equilibrium and kinetics; environmental transport; and advanced topics, such as groundwater well dynamics and subsurface fate and transport, atmospheric transport of pollutants and Monod kinetics are among those included in the materials. Computer software is also used to solve complex but practical fate and transport problems in the environment.
Course ID: 100570 Consent: No Special Consent Required Components: Lecture Prerequisite/Corequisite: Must have completed ENCH 427 and ENCH 440 with a “C” or better.
