CHEM 123 - Introduction to General Organic and Biochemistry I (4)

A two-semester chemistry course intended for students preparing for health sciences. Topics include atomic molecular theory, properties of the elements, bonding and molecular structure, solutions, elementary organic chemistry, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and nucleic acids. Recommended Preparation: A working knowledge of elementary algebra is required. (Fall/Summer)
