Required Courses (14 Credits)

The following courses are required for all students in the B.A. Program

• GES 102 - Human Geography (3.00)
• GES 110 - Physical Geography (3.00)
• GES 286 - Exploring the Environment: A Geo-Spatial Perspective (4.00)
• GES 386 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (4.00)

GES Electives (30 credits minimum)

Four (4) Human Geography/Environmental Studies/Policy courses at 300 and/or 400 level (320 - 369, and 420 - 469).  Selected topics courses (GES 302, GES 400) designated by faculty advisor as meeting the requirement can be counted.   One course must be at the 400 Level. [Minimum 12]

Two (2) Physical Geography/Environmental Science courses at 300 and/or 400 level (305 - 319, and 404 - 419).  Selected topics courses (GES 302, GES 400) designated by faculty advisor as meeting the requirement can be counted. [Minimum 6]

Four additional GES electives (3 of the 4 courses must be at the 300 or 400 level.  One must be at the 400 level). (minimum 12)

Statistics Requirement (4 credits)

• STAT 121 - Introduction to Statistics for the Social Sciences (4.00)

• OR

• STAT 350 - Statistics with Applications in the Biological Sciences (4.00)

• OR

• STAT 351 - Applied Statistics for Business and Economics (4.00)

• OR

• STAT 355 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Scientists and Engineers (4.00)
