To earn a minor in Environmental Science in conjunction with a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in another discipline, students must complete a minimum of 19 credits with a “C” or better. No course taken on a P/F basis shall count toward the minors. Internships and independent studies courses are also not counted toward the minor. The requirements for the minor are:
(4) Elective at the 300 level or higher (one of which must be at the 400 level) from the approved list of courses with an environmental focus (see www.umbc.edu/minor-in-environmental-science/)
Note:
Students interested in an Environmental Science minor need to consult a GES department faculty member for assistance in choosing appropriate courses. Students minoring in Environmental Science are not allowed to major in Environmental Science & Geography, Geography & Environmental Studies, or minor in Geography.
